NC State and the N.C. Community College System have made it possible for students from all of the state’s 58 community colleges to gain guaranteed admission to NC State with a new program called Wolfpack Connect.

The program is open to students who earn an associate degree from any N.C. community college while maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher. They must also adhere to NC State’s transfer admission deadlines to enroll.

Wolfpack Connect could benefit a large swath of transfer students. Last fall, more than half of NC State’s transfers came from the state’s community colleges. “This program has the potential to transform lives and uplift communities across our state,” says Chancellor Kevin Howell ’88. “It reflects the very heart of our land-grant mission to serve the people of North Carolina through education and opportunity. I’m thrilled to launch another pathway for students to pursue their goals and dreams.”

Prospective Wolfpack Connect students need to have 30 or fewer transferable credit hours completed or in progress at their respective community college. Once eligible, they can transfer into one of the 100-plus majors and concentrations NC State has approved for the program.
